GOD is a person who revealed Himself in triune form, one God, three Persons. This Trinity is made up of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the three existing perpetually in unity and are omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. (1)
JESUS CHRIST is the Son of God, having co-existed with the Father since before creation of the world. He became incarnate in human form when conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world. He arose from the dead and ascended into heaven where He is now our advocate, interceding with the Father on our behalf. He will personally and visibly come again to establish His kingdom fully on earth, and will judge both the dead and the living. (2)
The HOLY SPIRIT is the third person of the Trinity, an incorporeal being who dwells within the Christian and works out the sanctification process within him continually. He convicts of sin and is the instrumentality by which persons come to Christ. He witnesses to Jesus Christ, His life, His works, His teaching, and what He did at Calvary. He acts in unity with the Father and the Son. (3)
MAN was created by God in His image. He fell into sin through desire and became estranged from his creator. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ who atoned for our sins by His own sacrifice on the cross. The reward of the righteous and retribution of the wicked are both by conscious choice of the individual. This is true of all; and except a person be born again he/she cannot enter the Kingdom of God. (4)
SALVATION is made possible by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. He died in our place and suffered the penalty for the sin of the world. He gave up His life as full payment for all sin. It is in accepting His gracious gift and His forgiveness that we are relieved of the burden of our sin. After turning away from all else with a repentant attitude, accepting the offer of righteousness which He confers in the sight of God, and accepting the claim which He has upon our life we are granted salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ which is the gift of eternal life. (5)
The CHURCH was called into being by its founder, Jesus Christ, and is one body. Its mission is to continue the ministries He established and to proclaim His Gospel to all the nations of the world, and is the necessary instrument in building the eternal Kingdom of God. (6)
The BIBLE, consisting of 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament, is the Word of God having been inspired by the Holy Spirit. Its contents are not to be added to or deleted from. (7)
